A portion of the Pennsylvania Turnpike will be closed this weekend.
The road will shut down between the Cranberry and New Castle exits beginning at 9 p.m. Friday and continuing through 4 a.m. Monday.
Officials will use that time to demolish and replace the Brush Creek Bridge in Beaver County. The new bridge has been under construction next to the existing bridge for months.
The closure will result in an 80-mile detour using Interstates 79, 80 and 376. The turnpike estimates it will take about 75 minutes to drive the detour. There are short-cuts available, including using Route 422, but portions of it are single-lane.
