If you’re traveling the Pennsylvania Turnpike Thursday, you’ll want to be aware of a planned closure.
An 86-mile stretch between the Breezewood (Exit #161) and New Stanton (Exit #75) interchanges heading westbound will close beginning at 9 a.m. for about three hours as crews remove a tractor trailer that went down over an embankment during last weekend’s winter storm.
Traffic will be detoured at the Breezewood interchange and follow I-70 east and Route 119 north to get back on at New Stanton. The detour will add an estimated 45 minutes onto drivers’ commutes.
