Power for more than 4,000 customers was knocked out Tuesday afternoon as a thunderstorm moved through.
Electricity went out for about 2,000 customers in the city of Butler and another 2,000 in Butler Township around 1 p.m., according to West Penn Power.
Service was restored to most customers by late afternoon.
