Ever wonder what happens to the stuff people leave on airplanes? It’s now up for sale.
The Pennsylvania Department of General Services is holding what it calls a “Customer Appreciation Sale” on items either left on planes or surrendered to the Transportation Security Administration because they were not allowed on.
Officials say items including knives, scissors, corkscrews, sunglasses, jewelry, belts, power and hand tools, sports equipment and household items are up for grabs.
Items can be found at the state’s Surplus Store in Harrisburg or online at govdeals.com where they will be sold auction-style.
Pennsylvania has been selling surplus TSA items since 2004.
