A Pennsylvania State Police trooper was involved in a crash Wednesday in Butler Township.
The accident happened about 11 a.m. at the intersection of New Castle and North Duffy roads.
According to State Police, the trooper was traveling to a crash in Center Township and had the lights and sirens on. While the marked Ford Taurus patrol vehicle traveled through the intersection, it was hit by a 2006 Peterbilt loaded tractor trailer.
The trooper- who had not been identified- was taken to the hospital but later released. Keith Wheeler, 40, of Ohio was driving the truck. He was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
