The weekend starts early at Kentucky Speedway, with the Camping World Truck Series race at the track near the Ohio-Indiana border. Kyle Busch is the defending race champion.
Sprint Cup Series teams were scheduled to test a new NASCAR rules package in a pair of practice sessions on Wednesday at Kentucky Speedway, but the day’s program was rained out. Now, they’ll get two hours on the track today following this morning’s Camping World Truck Series practice. The new rules include aerodynamic modifications that feature less downforce in hopes of creating more competitive racing, particularly on the mile-and-a-half ovals like Kentucky Speedway. Lead changes are down twenty-percent in the Sprint Cup Series from where they were at this point of the 2014 season
