The trial for the man accused of killing New Kensington police officer Brian Shaw begins today.
Rahmael Holt allegedly shot and killed Shaw at a traffic stop in November 2017. The District Attorney in Westmoreland County prosecuting the case is seeking the death penalty if Holt is convicted.
Experts believe the trial will last nine days. Shaw was a graduate of Slippery Rock University.
