A Mercer County man was seriously injured in a work accident earlier this week.
According to State Police in Mercer, 45-year-old Michael Hiles of Carlton was working with a tree cutting crew in the area of Latonka Drive in Coolspring Township around 9 a.m. on Tuesday (8/18).
At that time the tree Hiles was cutting fell on him. Other members of the crew were able to move the tree off Hiles before EMS arrived.
Hiles was taken to Grove City Medical Center in critical condition. He was then flown to a trauma center in Pittsburgh for further treatment.
