The Butler Transit Authority is investing in replacing equipment at their Hollywood Drive facility.
With one industrial water heater not functional and another on its way out, the Authority’s Board approved the purchase of two units from Renick Brothers at a cost of just under $30,000.
Authority employees received three quotes for the purchase and replacement with Renick Brothers coming in as the least expensive. Funding will come from the Authority’s operating budget.
The units will now be ordered but it is unknown when they will be available for installation. It is believed that the old water heaters were original to the facility which was built in 2011.
