At one point over 3,000 Butler County residents experienced a power outage Tuesday afternoon that also affected some traffic lights.
According to the First Energy website, the majority of those dealing with the power loss are Penn Power customers in Connoquenessing Township and Borough as well as Forward and Jackson Townships.
A transformer failure occurred in a substation around 2:30 p.m. Over 1,000 residents are currently affected as well as several traffic lights along Route 68.
Service is expected to be restored between 4:30 and 5 p.m.
