Emergency crews responded to a vehicle fire in Penn Township Monday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 2 p.m. for an incident in the northbound lane of Route 8 South near Thorncrest Drive.
Crews from Penn Township arrived on scene to find a tractor trailer with brakes on fire. The truck was hauling nitrogen so the Butler County Hazmat team was requested along with the Butler Township Fire Department.
No one was injured but traffic was delayed until around 3:30 when crews were able to clear the scene.
