A tractor trailer hit into a utility pole Wednesday night in Butler and then reportedly left the scene.
The incident happened shortly after 6 p.m. near the intersection of East Jefferson and Monroe streets. Wires came down as a result of the incident and the truck driver drove away.
Another motorist followed the truck onto Route 422 West and noticed the truck had an Illinois license plate.
An employee of a nearby gas station recognized the truck as the same one that was involved with a different incident where another pole was hit. Utility companies responded to the scene to begin repairs.
