A Michigan man is recovering from non-life threatening injuries after his tractor trailer rolled on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Thursday afternoon.
Reports say the westbound truck struck a guide rail and rolled over, blocking both westbound lanes near mile post 44 in Indiana Township. The accident happened around 10:45 a.m. A 10-mile stretch of the highway had to be shut down. Drivers were detoured at the Allegheny Valley interchange in Harmar and allowed to get back onto the turnpike at Butler Valley.
The driver, 54-year-old Walter Lee Mida, is from Wayne, Michigan. He was to an area hospital for treatment.
All lanes of the turnpike are open today.
