A restaurant developer is planning to build a new Burger King in Butler Township.
The Butler Township Planning Commission unanimously approved the plans during a meeting Tuesday.
The restaurant will be built on New Castle Road. Two pieces of property between an existing KFC and Pizza Plus will be combined to allow for a 3,200-square foot structure. Those properties were formerly the site of a car wash and a Quiznos.
The existing Burger King in Butler Township on Pittsburgh Road will remain open.
Construction on the new Burger King is expected to begin this fall.
