Butler County will be full of athletes this weekend as two premier endurance competitions are set to take place.
The Tough Mudder- which is a 10-12 mile mud and obstacle course- will be run at Cooper’s Lake in Slippery Rock on Saturday and Sunday. Spectators are welcome.
The event was designed and created by a British Harvard Business School graduate and a former corporate lawyer, meant to test mental and physical strength. There are no winners or clocks to race against but rather an emphasis on teamwork.
Also happening this weekend is the Mighty Moraine Man Triathlon Festival at Moraine State Park. Participants can test their strength in various events, including several Olympic Distance Events like the triathlon, duathlon and aqua bike.
