Three-time Nascar champion Tony Stewart suffered back injuries in an all-terrain vehicle accident Sunday and has been hospitalized. Stewart is just a week away from team preparations for the season-opening race at Daytona. He is planning to retire following the 2016 season.

PGA golfer Jim Furyk has announced he will have wrist surgery, that will keep him sidelined for three months. If so, Furyk would miss the Masters, but should be ready for the U.S. Open that comes to Oakmont this year.
