The 2019 toll increase on the Pennsylvania Turnpike will go into effect Sunday.
The turnpike commission approved the six percent increase last year. Tolls have increased every year for the last 11 years.
The most common toll for a passenger vehicle will increase from $1.30 to $1.38 for E-ZPass customers, and from $2.10 to $2.25 for those paying cash.
Officials say the money will be used to reinvest in the turnpike’s aging infrastructure and to continue ongoing improvement efforts.
