Police are investigating a one-vehicle accident in Center Township on Tuesday that left a toddler seriously injured.
The crash happened about 2:30 p.m. on Route 308, near Holbein Lane.
According to State Police, 35-year-old Matthew Fournaridis of West Sunbury was traveling north in a Chevy Sonic when his vehicle traveled off the road, hit an old pole, struck a ditch, went up an embankment and struck a tree.
Fournaridis was injured but refused medical treatment. A 2-year-old male child was in the back seat. The child was hurt and flown to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh via a medical helicopter.
A portion of Rt. 308 was closed for over an hour.
