There is still time for local students to apply for scholarships available from Central Electric Cooperative.
This is the 11th year that CEC will be offering the Good Neighbor Scholarship program, which includes ten scholarships of $2,000 each.
Those eligible to receive a scholarship include high school seniors and currently enrolled college or trade school students as well as adults wishing to further their education. All applicants or their parents must be CEC members. Additional requirements include a one page essay and a letter of recommendation.
The deadline for submission is March 15 and the scholarships will be awarded in May. To complete the application, visit central.coop.
