There are a limited number of tickets available for local residents who want to sit down to dinner with the Walldog artists who will be painting murals on downtown Butler buildings next week.
A Welcome Dinner will be held on Wednesday (July 27) at 5:30 p.m. at the Tanglewood Center in Lyndora. There will be a meet-and-greet with the artists after dinner, and then following that, the artists will head downtown and set up the mural sites. Painting will begin Thursday morning.
And then on Saturday (July 30) at 5:30 a.m., an Appreciation Dinner will be held, also at Tanglewood, to thank the artists. Ten framed mural designs will be auctioned off, as well as other art pieces. All proceeds will benefit the Butler County Historical Society and help pay for the Walldog event.
“We are in desperate need of sponsors,” Pat Collins, historical society director, said Wednesday.
Tickets for both events are available online at butlerhistory.com or at the Butler County Historical Society on West Diamond Street.
