Three people were hurt, two seriously, after a one car crash on Mercer Road in Mercer County Saturday afternoon.
The Butler State Police, who responded to the crash, say that just after 2pm, 22-year-old Derek Richael of Stoneboro attempted to pass another vehicle in the northbound lanes of Route 62, and then lost control of his pickup.
Authorities say that the pickup spun off the roadway before rolling over three times. Richael, and his two passengers, 21-year-old Sean Murdock of Jackson Center, and 29-year-old Shane Scott of Stoneboro were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected out of the passenger side door.
Officials say that Richael and Murdock both sustained serious injuries, and were flown to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ohio. Scott sustained minor injuries, and did not remember the accident. He refused medical treatment.
Additionally, the State Police also determined that Richael was driving under the influence of alcohol. His charges are pending lab results.
