There was plenty of dancing over the weekend in Penn State, but now students have reason to celebrate.
This was the 51st year of the THON weekend dance marathon at State College. When the 46-hour event came to an end, over 700 participants announced a fundraising total of more than $15 million.
The previous record was $13.7 million.
The money benefits the Four Diamonds Fund, which supports pediatric cancer research at Penn State’s Children Hospital.
