The first “Thirsty Thursday” of the summer went well for the Bluesox, scoring three runs in the first frame and a 5-1 victory over the Kokomo Jackrabbits.
The Sox sent eight men to the plate in the first inning and mashed three hits off of Kokomo starter Quentin Miller.
Nick Bucci picked up the win on the mound for the Sox, going seven innings, gave up one earned run, only surrendered three hits, walked three, and struck out two.
The BlueSox are back in action in Kelly Automotive Park on tonight against the Jackrabbits, first pitch is slated for 7:05pm.
