The #19-ranked Slippery Rock University football team will host its annual “Military Appreciation” event in conjunction with Saturday’s home game against Mercyhurst. All veterans and active duty military personnel and their families will receive free admission to the game. Kick-off is 6:06pm. (Hear the game on The Rock Station 97.7fm beginning at 5:30pm.)
SRU will honor the memory of two former students: Army Captain Jason West and Army 2nd Lt. Christopher Loudon were killed in combat in Iraq 10 years ago.
