The Slippery Rock University football team has broken into the American Football Coaches Association Division-II top-25 poll for the first time this year. The Rock enters at 25th after defeated last week’s #24-ranked West Chester 49-42. It is this first appearance since the seventh week of last season when they were ranked 16th. It is their fifth consecutive season of making at least an appearance in the national top-25.
Also from the PSAC-Western Division, defending state champions California are ranked fifth. IUP is sixth.
