The Butler School Board has received a new offer for the former Broad Street Elementary School.
Superintendent Dr. Dale Lumley said the offer was from The Arc of Butler County in the amount of $400,000. The Arc made a $475,000 proposal last year for the property.
The previous school board had an agreement in place to sell the building to The Arc before that agreement was rescinded by the new board last December.
Also, school board member Bill Halle has put forward a different proposal where a local organization would lease-to-own the property.
The school board is expected to consider a motion to sell the former elementary school at a special meeting next Thursday (6/30) at 12 p.m. at the district’s administration building.
The Arc of Butler County serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, according to their website.
