Butler Township Police are continuing to investigate after a teenager shot himself in the leg.
Police say the incident happened about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Highfield area. Police did not specify whether the shot was fired inside a home.
Police say the 18-year-old male shot himself in the leg and was taken by ambulance to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He has since been treated and released. The male was not identified by police.
The incident remains under investigation by the Butler Township Police Department.
