A teen boy will learn what consequences he’ll face in February for crashing an ATV while drunk ultimately killing his friend who was a passenger.
The 17-year-old allegedly admitted to homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence of alcohol during a juvenile court hearing Wednesday.
The boy’s next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 17. He could face several years under supervision. If he would have been tried as an adult, he would face 3 to 6 years in prison.
Investigators allege the boy was drunk in February 2015 when he lost control of his ATV in Fairview Township, crashing and killing his passenger, 16-year-old Briggs Buck of Chicora.
