Local bird enthusiasts will welcome visitors to Moraine State Park this week in search of one of the most unusual birds found in Pennsylvania.
On Thursday (April 20th), Park Naturalists and local members of the bird chapter of the Bartramian Audubon Society will meet with visitors to discuss the woodcock at Pavilion.
During the event, which is expected to run from 7pm to 8:30pm, visitors will also learn about the Young Forest Habitat that can be found at several locations throughout Moraine State Park. The group will also search for the woodcock in portions of the park.
Registration is not required for Thursday’s event.
