A legendary conductor who made orchestral music accessible is in the spotlight of this weekend’s Butler County Symphony Orchestra concert.
Saturday’s performance of “Arthur Fiedler’s Pops” at the Butler Intermediate High School begins at 7:30 p.m. under the baton of conductor Matthew Kraemer. A pre-concert lecture starts at 6:30 p.m.
This show will feature pieces made classic by the former Boston Pops conductor including the 1812 Overture, Light Calvary Overture, The Typewriter, and The Syncopated Clock. The evening will also include a special side-by-side performance of Symphony musicians with Butler Senior High School Orchestra and Band students.
