One person has been shot by police following a police chase early Tuesday in Butler and Lawrence counties.
Investigators told our news partners at WPXI-TV, the incident started about 3:30 a.m. when Shenango Township Police attempted to pull over a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle drove off, and a chase involving officers from several departments began.
The chase momentarily crossed into Butler County before heading back into Lawrence County. The chase came to an end on Interstate 376 in Union Township.
Troopers said they fired a shot at a suspect, who was taken to a hospital. Interstate 376 remained closed at 7 a.m.
