Members of the Butler Area School District’s After-Action Review Committee, which was created in the wake of the district’s consolidation, now have the results of their surveys but they say they did not get as much feedback as they had hoped.
Less than one percent of the nearly 36,000 taxpayers in the district chose to complete the community survey, which was made available online last month.
Nearly 13 percent of the 5,430 parents invited to complete the parent survey chose to do so. Almost 43 percent of the district’s over 900 staff members finished the staff survey.
Committee members will now analyze the data and report on what they learned at the committee’s final meeting next week (April 12). The committee will also draw conclusions based on all their meetings and make recommendations to the full school board later this month.
