How much do you save?
A new survey found that 20 percent of Americans don’t save any of their annual income at all, and those who do save aren’t putting away a lot.
Bankrate analyzed data by state- and then county- and found Butler residents aren’t saving anything on a yearly basis, and in fact, spending an average of $30 per year more than they’re bringing in. The study looked at average income per capita, estimated tax rates and average spending.
In Butler, they determined the average income was about $52,500; and the average resident paid about $9,000 in taxes. That would leave roughly $43,500 to spend. According to the study, residents spend all of that- plus an extra $30- each year.
