People visiting Cranberry Township parks may soon be allowed to drink alcohol.
Under the proposed ordinance change, groups holding events in a park could apply for a permit allowing them to serve alcohol.
Officials say most surrounding communities allow alcohol in their parks so this change would help keep Cranberry residents from going elsewhere to have events.
The township supervisors could vote on this issue at their meeting on Thursday (April 28).
