Sunday marks one year since the Tree of Life synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood that killed 11 people.
Houses of worship across the country will be hosting memorials as they honor the victims of the shooting. In Pittsburgh—a free community gathering will be held Sunday at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall from 5 to 6 p.m.
There will be no public events at the B’nai Synagogue in Butler.
The alleged shooter, 47-year-old Robert Bowers, continues to be held in the Butler County Prison.
