Butler County and surrounding areas are working to address equitable and affordable access to high-speed broadband internet.
The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission recently hosted a Regional Broadband and Connectivity Summit to bring together governments, agencies, experts, and other stakeholders.
This event included five sessions with panelists who provided legislative updates as well as details about the statewide Implementation Plan and other federal and state funding programs.
Butler County Commissioner Leslie Osche Chairs the SPC and stated that the goal of the summit was to identify broadband access and affordability across the region, discuss challenges and opportunities, and understand how the community needs to work together.
This event was also sponsored by the Butler County Chamber of Commerce and Armstrong.
