A couple of local juvenile detention centers are being sued after allegations of sexual abuse.
Nearly 100 victims are suing Summit Academy in Herman and George Jr. Republic in Grove City claiming they were sexually abused over the course of two decades.
The suit contains allegations of groping, inappropriate touching, and even rape. It names a number of perpetrators including teachers, coaches, staff members, and administrators.
Summit Academy said in a statement to our news partners at WPXI that they have “not been made aware of any of the statements contained in the lawsuits.”
