Today is the last full day of summer, and it’s going to feel like summer…as least for the first half of the day.
The high on Friday is expected to top 86 degrees with sunny skies, and higher humidity levels. Enjoy it…because things change early Friday evening.
According to the National Weather Service, a storm system will make its way through Butler County beginning late Friday afternoon ahead of a cold front, and bring with it thunderstorms, damaging wind gusts and even large hail.
“An isolated tornado is also possible,” according to a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by the NWS early Friday.
Following the severe weather, temperatures will drop and it will begin to feel more like fall. Saturday’s high is only expected to be 63 degrees, with a low of 51 on Saturday night.
