The public is invited to attend an event this weekend that will take a closer look at the role of native plants in healing.
The Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania is holding a Natural Skincare and Medicinal Plants Workshop Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Succop Nature Park off West Airport Road.
Those who attend learn about the historical uses of native plants in healing as well as have the chance to create a natural plant-based skincare product to take home.
The cost is $12 for members and $15 for non-members. For more information, visit aswp.org.
