Western Pennsylvania is one of the best places in the country to celebrate Christmas, according to a new study.
Personal-finance website WalletHub ranks Pittsburgh in the top five cities to celebrate in…due, in part, because of cost.
Americans are projected to spend up to $720 billion over the holiday season this year, but Pittsburgh (along with Orlando, Las Vegas, New York and Atlanta) is apparently one of the most cost-effective cities when it comes to doing Christmas.
The study compared the 100 biggest U.S. cities based on 31 key indicators of a festive and affordable Christmas, such as traditions, shopping and costs. The study also examined the number of Christmas activities available, including shopping sites, holiday events and the number of churches that offer holiday services.
