Pittsburgh is one of the top 10 best cities in the country to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, according to a study.
Personal-finance website WalletHub compared 200 of the largest U.S. cities across 17 metrics- including the number of Irish pubs and restaurants per capita, the cost of a hotel and the weather.
Pittsburgh ranked at number 8. Chicago took the top spot, followed by Philadelphia and Madison, Wisconsin.
WalletHub says nearly 33 million Americans claim Irish ancestry. The study estimated the average person will spend $40 celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this year, which will likely include the purchase and consumption of a Guinness beer.
