A recent study has proven that Butler County Community College is worth millions of dollars to the local economy.
According to an economic impact analysis issued by Idaho based research company Emsi, nearly $148 million has been added to the economy of Butler County as a result of BC3 during the 2016-17 fiscal year.
The study also states that state taxpayers get a return of nearly $5 in added tax revenue and public sector savings for every one dollar of public money invested in educating a BC3 student.
The college spent $20 million in payroll during the 2016-17 fiscal year and of BC3’s 568 full and part-time employees, 75 percent live in Butler County so much of that money is then spent locally.
