Students at a local school are taking part in a unique experience at a Butler County creek Wednesday.
Butler Intermediate High School students participating in the Trout in the Classroom Program will be at Thorn Creek today for the annual Water Day activities.
In addition to releasing brook trout raised in class, students will be completing surveys, plant trees, clean up litter, and get instruction on fly fishing.
This program is made possible by sponsors including the PA Fish and Boat Commission, the state Game Commission, the Butler County Conservation District, and the state DEP.
