Strong storms moved through the area Thursday evening and early Friday, leaving behind some uprooted trees and downed wires.
Crews were sent to a Donegal Township road at 5 a.m. Friday for downed wires. Hilderbrand Road was closed between Hickey Bottom Road and Studio Lane. Drivers were advised to take Rattigan Road as an alternate route.
Central Electric Cooperative was only reporting one power outage as a result of the downed wires.
West Penn Power was not reporting any substantial outages on Friday.
Friday is not expected to be a wash-out, but a chance for rain remains all day, according to the National Weather Service. Showers and thunderstorms are likely after 3 p.m. A high of 76 degrees is expected, with a low of 48.
Partly sunny skies and a high near 72 degrees expected for Saturday.
