It was a busy night once again for emergency crews as another strong round of storms rolled into the area.
Starting around 7 p.m., severe weather led to numerous calls to the Butler County 911 Center for downed wires and trees. Overall, dispatchers have handled more than 40 calls about the storm.
As of this morning, there are more than 3,500 Butler County residents without power between First Energy and Central Electric Cooperative.
But, the impact was significant in the Saxonburg area. The Knoch School District has opted to close for the day.
There is also a portion of Route 356 that is shut down in between Winfield Road and Route 228.
