The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Tennessee Titans 18-6 last night in preseason football. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger made his first appearance of the season and threw a 17-yard touchdown to wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster.
Mason Rudolph replaced Roethlisberger in the first quarter and hit James Washington for a 41-yard touchdown pass. The Steelers defense also forced a safety in the opening period when Stephon Tuitt tackled Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota in the end zone.
The Steelers had four sacks in the first half last night.
The Steelers will visit Carolina to complete their preseason Thursday. The Steelers begin their regular season Sunday, September 8th in New England.
All of the NFL teams play their final games Thursday.
