The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 24-20 Sunday afternoon. The Steelers chased down a two touchdown lead by the Bengals when Ben Roethlisberger hit Eli Rogers on a 24-yard pass with just over three minutes remaining in the game. Steelers kicker Chris Boswell hit a record-tying six field goals in the game, that Cincinnati led 20-6 late in the first half.
Roethlisberger ended the game with 286 yards passing. The Steelers held the Bengals to 222 total yards, including 76 yards on the ground.
Tight end Ladarius Green left with a concussion in the second half. The Steelers also lost defensive end Stephon Tuitt to a knee injury on the first series of the game.
The Steelers improved to 9-5 and host the Baltimore Ravens Christmas Day in a game that could determine the AFC North champion. The Ravens defeated Philadelphia 27-26 and improved to 8-6. The Eagles tied the score late in the fourth quarter, and missed a two-point conversion to win the game. The Steelers are early 6-1/2 point favorites.
