The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed veteran outside linebacker Melvin Ingram to a one-year contract. The deal will give the Steelers more veteran depth after the departure of Bud Dupree. Ingram spent the last nine years with the Chargers, and had 49 sacks and 70 tackles for a loss since entering the NFL in 2012. His 2020 season was cut short due to a knee injury. Ingram was taken in the first round by the then San Diego Chargers with the 18th selection. That was the same draft the Steelers selected David DeCastro 24th overall.
