The Pittsburgh Steelers won an exciting game over the Denver Broncos 34-27 Sunday at Heinz Field. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 380 yards and three touchdowns in the come-from-behind win. Antonio Brown had 16 catches for 189 yards against the NFL’s best defense. The Steelers came back from a 17-point deficit in the loss.
The victory put the Steelers back into the sixth and final playoff position in the AFC with two games remaining. The Steelers would clinch a Wild Card playoff spot with a win in Baltimore this Sunday combined with a New York Jets loss.
The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 40-17 in Sunday Night Football and have clinched the NFC West. Cam Newton threw five touchdowns to lead the Carolina Panthers to a 38-35 win over the New York Giants. Carolina improves to a 14-0 record. Newton became the first NFL quarterback to throw five touchdown passes and rush for 100 yards in a game.
The Giants and Eagles losses, combined with a Washington 35-25 victory over the Buffalo Bills allowed the Redskins to take over the NFC East with a 7-7 record. Tonight in Monday Night Football: New Orleans will host Detroit. Kick-off is 8:30pm.
