The Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-10 Sunday afternoon. The Steelers outgained the Bengals in net yardage 342-268 and had 21 first downs compared to 12 for Cincinnati, but never led in the game. They managed just 45 yards rushing, and the defense did not record a sack. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw 58 passes in the game, and was picked off twice.
It was the first time since 2003 that the Steelers have lost back-to-back home games at Heinz Field. Their record fell to 1-2 and they will travel to Green Bay next Sunday afternoon.
Other AFC North games – Cleveland defeated Chicago 26-6. Baltimore edged Detroit 19-17. The Bengals, Browns and Ravens all improved to 2-1 this season.
Quarterback Tom Brady joined Drew Brees as the only quarterbacks to throw for over 80,000 yards in the NFL Sunday. Brady threw for 432 yards in Tampa Bay’s loss to the L.A. Rams.
Tonight in Monday Night Football – Dallas will host Philadelphia. Kick-off is 8:15pm.
